31 Days of Costumes - October 4, 2012 - Mme. Giry's every day wear

Although this is a costume simple in color, being that it's all black, I do like Mme. Giry's costume. The only time she changes costumes is during the Masquerade scene. I cal this costume her every day wear because she wears it for most of the play. Once again this is from ALWs musical. Mme. Giry is also a great character, I admire her toughness, along with a slight touch of comedy in the beginning of the musical. She's also the phantom's ally and for that she is more then awesome!

31 Days of Costumes - October 3, 2012 - Christine's Aminta Costume

The much loved Aminta Costume!

I found a wealth of images to share while searching for the Aminta costume. As many readers probably already know, the Aminta costume is worn by Christine during Point of No Return. This is also a costume I'd like to someday make myself (if I can actually start to learn to sew) or find pre-made somewhere, or have it made for me.

I already have a pair of boots I could wear with this costume, although it would be nice to get ones that look more authentic to the costume. The ones I have don't have laces, they go up to the knee, and the heel is higher.

The dress can be pink depending on which version of ALWs musical you are viewing, pink is my absolute favorite color so that's a rock factor right there. The dress has an A line skirt, A lines are flattering to my very curvy recently slightly overweight figure. Who am I kidding? I've been more then slightly overweight my whole life lol This costume is an overall favorite, it's one of my favorites and I've heard many other phans express approval for this costume as well. I almost had my hands on a sewn version of the costume but I lost the bid for it :(

31 Days of Costumes - October 2, 2012 - Christine's Wedding Dress

I missed posting for October 2 and 3, so I'm back posting for those days. I am tending to fixate on Christine's costumes at the moment but there will be other character costumes for these 31 days of costumes, including some for our favorite man!

For October 2 I've chosen Christine's wedding dress. I was feverishly researching this dress when I first started wedding planning. It had been a dream of mine to wear Christine's wedding dress, but my dream is meant to stay a dream unless I have a costume made and wear it for Halloween or cosplay.

The wedding dress version I'm choosing to feature is the one from ALW's musical version. Maria Bjornson designed excellent costumes, so all or most of the costumes featured will probably be from the ALW musical.

Since this is for Halloween might has well feature the costume in action from one of the more bizarre scenes of the show

31 Days of Costumes - October 1, 2012 - Star Princess!

I've been cooking up ways to revitalize this blog, since recently I've just been posting sexy phantoms, reviews and phan interviews recently. I've been wanting to feature costumes on the blog for awhile so I've created 31 days of Costumes in honor of October being the month of Halloween. I am hoping to actually feature a phan well known for their costume making if they agree to be featured.

The best costume in ALWs musical IMO

Today's costume to kick off 31 days of costumes is my ultimate favorite, the star princess! This costume is worn by Christine during Masquerade. I actually wanted this costume to be made into a wedding dress for my wedding but couldn't do it. I wish I was able to because the seamstress I found here turned out to be a flake and I had to run to David's Bridal to get a dress off the rack for my wedding. Thankfully it worked out well. Enough rambling, let's enjoy today's beautiful costume!

Sexy Phantom September 2012

Fear not my brainstorming has found a phantom for September of 2012, keeping sexy phantom in existence for another month.

The Sexy Phantom for this month is Maximillian Schell, he played the phantom in that hard to obtain movie version I still have yet to see.

He played opposite Jane Seymour, and I was able to get some shots from a website I've come across before to use for my Sexy Phantom feature!

As you notice with this entry, I'm back from wedding and honeymoon bliss, and I'm blogging away. This is the first sexy phantom I'm publishing as a married woman, it seems to be the only thing I'm doing quasi right today.

Hopefully sometime later this month or perhaps in October I'll think up some more interesting entries to come.

WEDDING VACATION TIME!

You may or may not know from previous blog entries that I'm getting married this weekend!!! I'll be off work starting tomorrow (August 28 until September 17). So I'm taking a vacation from blogging as well as I prepare for the wedding, have the ceremony, reception and go on my honeymoon. Hang in there my readers and I do hope and trust you'll have a lot to keep you busy and entertained until I return to writing entries after the wedding. I seriously doubt anyone's sole life is reading my blogs.

To my phellow phans going to Las Vegas before it closes, sorry Shawn and I won't be there, have a great time, I'm semi-jealous even though the wedding will be great. Take lots of photos and wish phantom in Las Vegas a sad farewell, hope the performance is great!

Sizzlin' like the sun will be in Puerto Rico

Almost missed the boat before it sailed across the lake in naming my sexy phantom for August 2012. In honor of the production touring in Leeds, UK I'm naming the sexy phantom Earl Carpenter. When I return from the honeymoon I'm going to do an interview with Leeds phantom phan Dawn Smallwood. For now we shall drool over Mr. Carpenter.
